The American Perspectives Recital Project

“American Perspectives” is a series of curated violin recitals that aim to recognize the relevance of classical music within American history and culture. The recitals are comprised of music written by American and Latin American composers, each with a different story or “perspective” on the American experience.

Night Sky and Number Pi is an hour-long chamber music program for voice, string quartet, and piano. This was curated as part of the Nova Fellowship at the New England Conservatory and in collaboration with local Boston businesses Broadsheet Coffee and Driveby Pies. This concert was created to provide a unique chamber music performance opportunity for NEC students, encourage collaboration between the string, piano, and vocal departments, utilize the Bower Stage as a compelling performance space, highlight underrepresented composers, push the creative boundaries of a typical chamber music concert experience, and create an enjoyable event for all members of the NEC community.
